Business Team Brand shoot
Real Estate Branding Photography for McGoldrick Estate Agents in Berry NSW
Recently I had the pleasure of photographing the team at McGoldrick Estate Agents in Berry, one of the most recognisable boutique real estate agencies in the Southern Highlands region of New South Wales.
What started as a request for updated headshots quickly turned into something much bigger — and much more useful for their marketing.
Because in real estate today, great headshots alone aren’t enough.
Buyers and sellers want to know who they're dealing with.
They want to see the people behind the brand.
And they want to get a sense of what it actually feels like to work with you.
The Brief: Update the Team Headshots
Tim originally reached out because the team needed updated headshots for their website.
The images they had were a bit inconsistent as staff had changed over the years the overall look had become a bit mismatched.
That’s a pretty common situation for growing businesses.
When new staff join, new photos get taken… but over time the brand consistency can start to drift.
So the first goal was simple:
Create clean, cohesive team headshots for their Meet the Team page.
But while we were chatting about the shoot, something else became obvious.
Showcasing the Brand, Not Just the People
McGoldrick Estate Agents have something many agencies would love to have.
A beautiful boutique office right in Berry.
It has a great street presence and a really welcoming feel.
So instead of just photographing everyone against a plain background somewhere, it made a lot more sense to use their office as part of the story.
We photographed the team at the office so the images instantly felt connected to the business.
It shows clients exactly where they are and gives the brand a sense of place in the community.
That alone instantly made the headshots feel more authentic.
But we didn’t stop there.
Extending the Brand into a Property Listing
Real estate is a visual business.
And one of the best ways to showcase what an agency does is to photograph them doing their actual work.
Luckily the team had a property listing that matched the same beautiful Berry aesthetic as their office.
So we used that as the second location for the shoot.
This gave us the chance to capture:
• More relaxed team portraits
• Agents interacting with each other
• Natural working moments
• Lifestyle images inside the property
This kind of content is gold for real estate marketing.
It allows agents to show how they work with clients, not just what they look like in a headshot.
What the Team Said After the Shoot
One of the nicest things about this job was hearing how the team felt about the experience.
Real estate teams are busy, and getting everyone together for a shoot can sometimes feel like a bit of a chore.
But when people feel comfortable in front of the camera, everything changes.
After the shoot Tim sent a message saying:
"Mate, the photos look great. Thanks for all your effort yesterday. The team all said you were amazing to work with."
And in their public post they shared this:
"Brad, you were an absolute pleasure to work with. You have a real gift of making everyone feel relaxed and at ease in front of the camera, and it shows in every shot. We couldn't be happier with the results."
That’s exactly the environment I aim to create on every shoot.
Because when people relax, the photos instantly feel more natural.
Why Real Estate Teams Need Branding Photography
Real estate is a relationship business.
People choose agents they trust.
And strong visual branding helps build that trust long before someone picks up the phone.
Professional photography can show:
• Who the team are
• How they work together
• The personality of the business
• The quality of the properties they represent
And when done well, those images can serve a business for years across marketing, social media and website content.
Thinking About Updating Your Business Photography?
If your team photos are starting to feel a bit outdated or inconsistent, it might be time for a refresh.
The goal isn’t just to take a few new headshots.
It’s to create a set of images that genuinely represent your brand and your business.
Just like we did for the team at McGoldrick Estate Agents in Berry NSW.
